Luke Daniels Trio
Celtic Folk Trio / Traditional Irish & Scottish Folk / Live Folk Music
A dynamic Celtic folk trio blending traditional dancehall influences with modern arrangements, rhythmic drive, and cross-cultural inspiration.
The Luke Daniels Trio brings together three exceptional musicians led by award-winning accordionist Luke Daniels, alongside fiddler Matt Tighe and guitarist Luc McNally. Their music draws from the traditional dancehall repertoire of Ireland and Scotland, reworking classic melodies into energetic, rhythm-led arrangements designed for contemporary live performance.
Based in Scotland and spanning roots in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Trinidad, the trio reflects the wider Celtic diaspora across the Atlantic. Their sound combines traditional Irish and Scottish folk music with modern sensibilities, creating a vibrant and evolving approach to Celtic folk.
All three members are established performers on the international folk circuit, with appearances at major festivals including Glastonbury and Celtic Connections, alongside tours across Europe and beyond. The result is a compelling live act that bridges tradition and innovation in contemporary folk music.
